Plants and trees have always been closer to Gods in our culture (scriptures) and planting has been a ritual in our tradition. India has known the innumerous benefits of plantation since ages – abundant oxygen, cleaner air, cleaner water, natural filtration, carbon sequestration, controlled temperatures, climate amelioration, habitat for wildlife, Ozone layer protection, conserving energy, reducing soil erosion, etc. Our seers had long ago discovered the medicinal properties and compiled them in invaluable Ayurveda and Homeopathy knowledge.
India boasts of more than 50,000 plant species that constitute 6-7% of global plant species and is proud of its rich endemics due to its wide range of climate and topology. More than 3000 plant species have been documented in 8 main floristic regions: Western and Eastern Himalayas, Assam, Indus and Ganges plain, the Deccan, Malabar and the Andaman Islands.

According to Ancient Philosophers, Tree is one of the earliest bodies for the soul. VARAD revers trees and reckons their spiritual, emotional, and environmental value. We realize their importance to the ecosystem both above and below the ground.
VARAD studies the Flora and edaphology of a particular region to initiate a successful plantation drive and picks the most suitable saplings according to the Bio-diversity only after thorough research.
At VARAD, we are not just planting Trees, we are planting Life and hence have pledged to plant various sacred and beneficial trees like Banyan, Peepal, Neem, Arjun, …. etc. to replenish the loss due to deforestation as well as for the benefit of future generations.
